It comes from Scythe's award-winning tower cooler series. Compared to the predecessors of the series, the Mugen 5 can convince among other things with a new form. The asymmetric alignment makes it compatible with a wide range of storage ledgers. A noticeable running smoothness is ensured by the use of Sealed Precision FDB bearings and a rubberized decoupling. The mounting system is optimized in pressure distribution and compatible with all classic mainboard sockets. As with every Mugen, there is also a PCGH edition for this model. The fan speed was reduced to two instead of only one fan. Despite lower noise levels, the cooling capacity is thus maintained. The Mugen 5 does not have a problem with projecting storage bars with passive heat sinks. Thanks to inclined heatpipes, the radiator is not positioned directly above the base plate, but slightly offset to the rear. This asymmetrical design allows unrestricted access to the memory banks. In order to guarantee smooth running and an average service life of 120,000 hours, the Mugen 5 PCGH Edition uses two PWM fans with a control range of 300 to 800 rpm from the newly developed Kaze Flex series. The Sealed Precision FDB reduces friction and wear to a minimum by means of a special oil film. Rubberized contact surfaces have a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of any vibrations that may occur. The second generation of the Hyper Precision Mounting System offers several improvements in user-friendliness. The pre-assembled mounting bar facilitates installation considerably, while screws equipped with springs prevent uneven pressure distribution. An extra long screwdriver is included with the Mugen 5 for convenient installation.
